The jump seat includes a frame configured to be attached to and detached from the rear wall of the passenger cabin; a seat back attached to the frame; a seat pivotably attached to the frame such that the jump seat is configured to move between a deployed position where the seat is configured to support an occupant and a non-deployed position where the seat is oriented in parallel with the seat back; and a detachment mechanism attached to the frame and configured to be actuated to detach the jump seat from the rear wall of the passenger cabin.
