Abstract

A bicycle component, having a ring unit and a freewheel component of a freewheel, the freewheel component is a radially outer freewheel component and has an inner toothing for engaging pawls of a radially inner freewheel component to transfer a driving power in the driving direction. The outer freewheel component and the ring unit are coupling components couplable to one another and respectively have a coupling toothing for engagement with one another and are mutually rotatable about a central rotation axis. In an installation position, the ring unit and the (outer) freewheel component are movable circumferentially by a defined pivot angle relative to one another between a driving position and a rest position so that, prior to the beginning of a torque transmission, a coupling component is rotated in the drive direction before a torque transmission is performed, if the two coupling toothings were located in the rest position.

Dependent claims

A bicycle component for an at least partially muscle-powered bicycle, having at least one ring unit and having at least one freewheel component of a freewheel device,

wherein the freewheel component is designed as a radially outer freewheel component and has an inner toothing, which is designed for engaging pawls of a radially inner freewheel component in order to transfer a driving power in the driving direction,
wherein the outer freewheel component and the ring unit are designed as coupling components able to be coupled to one another and respectively have a coupling toothing for engagement with one another and are mutually rotatable about a central axis of rotation,
in at least one installation position, the ring unit and the outer freewheel component are movable in the circumferential direction by a defined pivot angle relative to one another between a driving position and a rest position so that, prior to the beginning of a torque transmission, a coupling component must first be rotated in the drive direction before a torque transmission may be carried out, if the two coupling toothings were previously located in the rest position.

A bicycle component for at least partially muscle-powered bicycles, comprising:

a hub housing unit and a rotor, which is mounted to be rotatable with respect to a hub axle;
wherein a freewheel device is provided between the hub housing unit and the rotor;
wherein the freewheel device comprises two freewheel components, namely a radially outer freewheel unit with an inner toothing and a radially inner freewheel unit with a pawl carrier and pawls accommodated thereon for engaging into the inner toothing of the radially outer freewheel unit, in order to transfer a driving power in the driving direction;
wherein the hub housing unit and the radially outer freewheel component are designed as separate coupling components, able to be coupled with one another, and respectively have a coupling toothing for engaging into one another and are mutually rotatable about a central axis of rotation;
in at least one installation position, the hub housing unit and the radially outer freewheel component are movable in the circumferential direction by a defined pivot angle relative to one another between a driving position and a rest position, so that, prior to the beginning of a torque transmission, a coupling component must first be rotated in the driving direction before a torque transmission is/may be carried out, if the two radial toothings were previously located in the rest position.
