Liquid receiving device, maintenance device, and liquid ejection apparatus

A liquid ejection apparatus comprising:

• a liquid ejection head configured to eject a liquid;
• and
• a liquid receiving device configured to receive the liquid discharged from the liquid ejection head, wherein
• the liquid receiving device includes
• a first absorber configured to absorb the liquid,
• a second absorber disposed below the first absorber in a vertical direction and configured to absorb the liquid,
• a plate disposed between the first absorber and the second absorber, and
• a recess configured to accommodate the first absorber, the second absorber, and the plate,
• the recess has a bottom portion in which a discharge port configured to suction and discharge the liquid is formed,
• the second absorber has a higher density than the first absorber, and
• the plate blocks movement of the liquid between the first absorber and the second absorber at a position overlapping the discharge port when viewed in the vertical direction.
