Abstract
A liquid discharge apparatus is provided that includes a liquid discharge head including a plurality of nozzle rows and a circuitry. The circuitry is configured to control the liquid discharge head to discharge a droplet having a first volume from the plurality of nozzle rows to form an image on a recording medium and, when a linear defect is observed in the image, control the liquid discharge head to discharge a droplet having a second volume larger than the first volume at different time intervals from a nozzle of a first nozzle row that has caused the linear defect or a nozzle of a second nozzle row adjacent to the first nozzle row.
Claims7
A liquid discharge apparatus comprising:
- a liquid discharge head including a plurality of nozzle rows;
- and
- a circuitry configured to control the liquid discharge head to discharge a droplet having a first volume from the plurality of nozzle rows to form an image on a recording medium and, when a linear defect is observed in the image, control the liquid discharge head to discharge a droplet having a second volume larger than the first volume at different time intervals from a nozzle of a first nozzle row that has caused the linear defect or a nozzle of a second nozzle row adjacent to the first nozzle row.
An image forming apparatus comprising:
- a liquid discharge head including a plurality of nozzle rows;
- and
- a circuitry configured to control the liquid discharge head to discharge a droplet having a first volume from the plurality of nozzle rows to form an image on a recording medium and, when a linear defect is observed in the image, control the liquid discharge head to discharge a droplet having a second volume larger than the first volume at different time intervals from a nozzle of a first nozzle row that has caused the linear defect or a nozzle of a second nozzle row adjacent to the first nozzle row.
A liquid discharge controlling method, the method comprising:
- discharging droplets having a first volume from a plurality of nozzle rows included in a liquid discharge head to form an image on a recording medium;
- and
- when a linear defect is observed in the image, discharging a droplet having a second volume larger than the first volume at different time intervals from a nozzle of a first nozzle row that has caused the linear defect or a nozzle of a second nozzle row adjacent to the first nozzle row.
