Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a layered assembly comprising a VOC-impermeable cellulose-based layer, a method of insulating against VOCs using a VOC-impermeable cellulose-based layer, and a method of preparing a layered assembly comprising a VOC-impermeable cellulose-based layer.
Claims14
A layered assembly comprising a base and a cellulose-based layer configured on said base;
- wherein the cellulose-based layer has a thickness of at least 20 μm, and a density of at least 800 kg/m3;
- wherein the cellulose-based layer covers at least one surface of the base;
- wherein the base contains at least one emitter of a volatile organic compound (VOC);
- and wherein the cellulose-based layer is substantially impermeable to the VOC.
A method of insulating against VOCs using a cellulose-based layer, wherein the cellulose-based layer has a thickness of at least 20 μm, and a density of at least 800 kg/m3, and wherein the cellulose-based layer is substantially impermeable to at least one VOC, preferably in a layered assembly.
