Abstract
An end effector includes a contact member having light permeability and including a contact surface configured to come into contact with a target object, a first imager configured to image the contact surface from inside the contact member at an angle equal to or less than a critical angle for total reflection, and a second imager configured to image the contact surface from inside the contact member at an angle greater than the critical angle for the total reflection.

An end effector, comprising:
- a contact member having light permeability and including a contact surface configured to come into contact with a target object;
- a first imager configured to image the contact surface from inside the contact member at an angle equal to or less than a critical angle for total reflection;
- and
- a second imager configured to image the contact surface from inside the contact member at an angle greater than the critical angle for the total reflection.
