Advanced manufacturing facility for humanoid robots

A method of manufacturing a robot, the method comprising:

• fabricating a first component of the robot;
• prior to testing the first component, confirming via a computer system that the first component has satisfied one or more upstream process conditions;
• upon the confirming, performing a first test on the first component and storing first test results in a record associated with the robot maintained by the computer system;
• subsequent to the first component passing the first test, integrating the first component with at least a second component to form an integrated robot assembly;
• and
• performing a second test on the integrated robot assembly, the second test comprising causing the integrated robot assembly to execute a sequence that evaluates the first component and the at least second component operating as an integrated unit, and storing second test results in the record;
• whereby the record maintained by the computer system comprises test results spanning both component-level and system-level validation of the robot.

A method of manufacturing a robot, the method comprising:

• initiating a burn-in sequence on a component of the robot, the burn-in sequence comprising causing the component to execute repeating operational cycles;
• during the burn-in sequence, monitoring at least one performance metric of the component;
• computing a stability indicator based on variation of the at least one performance metric across a plurality of the operational cycles;
• determining that the stability indicator satisfies a convergence criterion;
• and
• in response to the stability indicator satisfying the convergence criterion, terminating the burn-in sequence, whereby a duration of the burn-in sequence is determined based on observed performance behavior of the individual component.
