Abstract
Provided herein are methods, systems, and devices for additive manufacturing. Also provided herein are builds produced by the methods, systems, and devices described herein, including builds that are suitable for use in high-temperature, hydrogen environments. An additive manufacturing system for layer-by-layer manufacturing of a three-dimensional build comprises: a build platform holding a build under construction: a deposition head comprising a primary nozzle for directing a particle stream at the build under construction; a directed energy source for melting the particle stream, thereby forming a melt pool; an auxiliary powder nozzle arranged to direct an additive powder stream at the melt pool; and one or more magnets arranged to apply a magnetic field within the melt pool.

An additive manufacturing system for layer-by-layer manufacturing of a three-dimensional build, the additive manufacturing system comprising:
- a build platform holding a build under construction;
- a deposition head comprising a primary nozzle for directing a particle stream at the build under construction;
- a directed energy source for melting the particle stream, thereby forming a melt pool;
- and
- one or more magnets arranged to apply a magnetic field within the melt pool.
An additive manufacturing system for layer-by-layer manufacturing of a three-dimensional build, the additive manufacturing system comprising:
- a build platform holding a build under construction;
- a deposition head comprising a primary nozzle for directing a particle stream at the build under construction;
