Method and apparatus for summoning virtual pet, device, and storage medium

A computer device, comprising a processor and a memory, the memory having at least one program stored therein, and the processor being configured to execute the at least one program in the memory to implement a method for summoning a virtual minion including:

• displaying, in a graphical user interface, a primarily controlled virtual character in a virtual environment and at least one element card;
• in response to a selection operation for a first element card, generating a position cursor near a first position in the virtual environment, the first position being a summoning position of the virtual minion in the virtual environment;
• in response to a trigger operation for the first element card, summoning the virtual minion at the first position in the virtual environment, an element attribute of the virtual minion being consistent with an element attribute identifier of the first element card;
• and
• displaying an animation in which the primarily controlled virtual character throws out the first element card toward the first position in the virtual environment.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium, having executable instructions stored therein, the executable instructions, when executed by a processor of a computer device, causing the computer device to implement a method for summoning a virtual minion including:

• displaying, in a graphical user interface, a primarily controlled virtual character in a virtual environment and at least one element card;
• in response to a selection operation for a first element card, generating a position cursor near a first position in the virtual environment, the first position being a summoning position of the virtual minion in the virtual environment;
• in response to a trigger operation for the first element card, summoning the virtual minion at the first position in the virtual environment, an element attribute of the virtual minion being consistent with an element attribute identifier of the first element card;
• and
• displaying an animation in which the primarily controlled virtual character throws out the first element card toward the first position in the virtual environment.
