Computer-implemented game systems and methods are disclosed in which gameplay is partitioned into multiple discrete phases synchronized to segments of a fixed-length, non-looping audio track. A song map may define phase boundaries, gameplay configurations, and transition parameters corresponding to musically meaningful sections of the audio. At runtime, one or more processors may monitor audio playback position and automatically transition between gameplay phases at predefined boundaries without requiring player input to initiate such transitions. Gameplay mechanics, environments, objectives, difficulty parameters, or grouping configurations may vary between phases. Performance metrics from a completed phase may influence subsequent phase configuration, including regrouping of competitors, conditional phase selection, or score normalization. Phase outcomes may be aggregated using weighted or normalized scoring policies to determine a final result at completion of the audio track. Automated or semi-automated systems may generate segmentation data and phase mappings using signal processing and rule-based or machine learning techniques.
