Abstract
A billiards chalk holder and holster combination configured with a clip for attachment to a user's belt or waistband, wherein the holder is retained within a five-sided cavity formed by opposing sidewalls, a U-shaped bottom, and top ridges. The holder is releasable in a single upward direction, preventing unintended removal while allowing quick insertion and removal during gameplay.

A holster apparatus comprising:
- a back portion (5);
- a pair of opposing sidewalls (1) extending from the back portion (5);
- a bottom portion connecting the sidewalls (1) to form a cavity configured to receive a holder (8);
- wherein the sidewalls (1), bottom portion, and back portion (5) cooperate to retain the holder (8) within the cavity and restrict removal of the holder (8) to fewer than all directions of movement, independent of the external shape of the holder (8) (FIG. 8, FIG. 9).
