Abstract
A method for controlling an exercise machine using a video workout program including encoding, remotely from the exercise machine, exercise machine control commands into a subtitle stream of a video to create the video workout program, wherein the exercise machine control commands are encoded at least once per second, decoding, locally to the exercise machine, the subtitle stream of the video to access the exercise machine control commands, displaying, locally to the exercise machine, the video, and controlling, locally to the exercise machine, one or more moveable members of the exercise machine using the exercise machine control commands.
Claims20
A method, comprising:
- receiving data of one or more workouts previously performed by a user;
- determining a starting difficulty level for a workout program based at least in part on the data of the one or more workouts previously performed by the user;
- creating a video workout program for the user based at least in part on the starting difficulty level, the video workout program including a video portion and a plurality of exercise device parameters synchronized with the video portion, wherein a setting of the plurality of exercise device parameters is based at least in part on the starting difficulty level;
- receiving fitness information for the user;
- and
- adjusting the setting of the plurality of exercise device parameters to adjust a difficulty level of the video workout program from the starting difficulty level to an updated difficulty level based at least in part on the fitness information.
An exercise device, comprising:
- one or more moveable members adjustable by a plurality of exercise device parameters;
- and
- one or more processors configured to:
- receive data of one or more workouts previously performed by a user;
- determine a starting difficulty level for a workout program based at least in part on the data of the one or more workouts previously performed by the user;
- create a video workout program for the user based at least in part on the starting difficulty level, the video workout program including a video portion and the plurality of exercise device parameters synchronized with the video portion, wherein a setting of the plurality of exercise device parameters is based at least in part on the starting difficulty level;
- receive fitness information for the user;
- and
- adjust the setting of the plurality of exercise device parameters to adjust a difficulty level of the video workout program from the starting difficulty level to an updated difficulty level based at least in part on the fitness information.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions which, when executed by one or more processors of an exercise device, cause the exercise device to:
- receive data of one or more workouts previously performed by a user;
- determine a starting difficulty level for a workout program based at least in part on the data of the one or more workouts previously performed by the user;
- create a video workout program for the user based at least in part on the starting difficulty level, the video workout program including a video portion and a plurality of exercise device parameters synchronized with the video portion, wherein a setting of the plurality of exercise device parameters is based at least in part on the starting difficulty level;
- receive fitness information for the user;
- and
- adjust the setting of the plurality of exercise device parameters to adjust a difficulty level of the video workout program from the starting difficulty level to an updated difficulty level based at least in part on the fitness information.
