Abstract
A stair climbing machine comprising a housing, a first roller arranged in the housing and being rotatably about a center axis with respect to the housing, a resistance mechanism, a stationary element that is not rotatable with respect to the housing, a first plurality of rotation elements being rotatably supported in the first roller, and a first plurality of steps, each of the first plurality of steps being fixed to a respective one of the first plurality of rotation elements. The stationary element is disposed on the center axis, each rotation element of the first plurality of rotation elements is arranged on the first roller at the same distance from the center axis, and each of the first plurality of rotation elements is mechanically coupled to the stationary element via a first torque-transmitting connection.
Claims19
A stair climbing machine with 3 to 10 steps, the stair climbing machine comprising:
- a housing being configured to be placed on a horizontal surface;
- a first roller arranged in the housing, the first roller being rotatably about a center axis with respect to the housing;
- a resistance mechanism;
- a rotationally symmetric stationary element that is not rotatable with respect to the housing, wherein the stationary element is disposed on the center axis;
- a first plurality of rotation elements being rotatably supported in the first roller;
- and
- a first plurality of the steps, each of the first plurality of the steps being fixed to a respective one of the first plurality of rotation elements, wherein a mounting with which each of the first plurality of the steps is fixed to the respective one of the first plurality of rotation elements comprises a torque-proof mounting;
- wherein each rotation element of the first plurality of rotation elements is arranged on the first roller at the same distance from the center axis,
- wherein each of the first plurality of rotation elements is mechanically coupled to the stationary element via a first torque-transmitting connection, and
- wherein the steps are oriented parallel and configured to maintain a substantially parallel orientation to the surface on which the housing is configured to be placed.
