Abstract
The disclosed systems and methods provide a mobile defibrillator system that can include a mobile defibrillator (AED) unit configured to operatively connect to a device capable of running an application. The mobile AED unit can include circuitry for administering an electric shock to a subject; and one or more pads. Each pad can include one or more needles electrically connected to the circuitry and can be configured to pierce skin of the subject; reside within the subject; and deliver current from the electrical shock to the subject.
Claims20
A mobile defibrillator system comprising:
- a mobile defibrillator (AED) unit configured to operatively connect to a device capable of running an application and operating as a first power source for the mobile AED, the mobile AED unit comprising:
- circuitry for administering an electric shock to a subject;
- one or more pads configured to adhere to the subject for administering the electric shock;
- a first charging port;
- and
- a second charging port;
- wherein the device, via one or more processors, is configured to switch from the first power source at the first charging port to the second power source at the second charging port during a defibrillation procedure.
A method for switching power sources in a mobile defibrillator, the method comprising:
- connecting a mobile AED unit to a first device, wherein the first device operates as a first power source, and wherein the mobile AED unit comprises:
- circuitry for administering an electric shock to a subject;
- pads;
- a first charging port;
- and
- a second charging port;
- performing a defibrillation procedure on the subject using the mobile AED unit;
- and
- switching from the first power source at the first charging port to a second power source at the second charging port during the defibrillation procedure.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by a processor of a device, cause the device to:
- connect to a mobile AED unit, wherein the device operates as a first power source for the mobile AED unit, and wherein the mobile AED unit comprises:
- circuitry for administering an electric shock to a subject;
- one or more pads configured to adhere to the subject for administering the electric shock;
- a first charging port;
- and
- a second charging port;
- perform a defibrillation procedure on the subject using the mobile AED unit;
- and
- switch from the first power source at the first charging port to a second power source at the second charging port during the defibrillation procedure.
