Provided are a shunt and system for treating hydrocephalus. The shunt includes a distal portion provided with a cerebrospinal fluid inlet, a proximal portion provided with a cerebrospinal fluid outlet, and a tube body provided with a flow lumen. The distal portion is provided with a limiting portion in contact with a dura mater. A maximum radial size of the limiting portion in a delivery state is greater than both a minimum radial size of a puncture opening and a minimum radial size of the tube body. The system includes the shunt and a delivery system that is configured to deliver the shunt to designated positions in a venous system and a ventricular system. During delivery, the shunt is placed inside the delivery system. The distal portion of the shunt is configured to dilate the puncture opening in a dura mater and push the limiting portion into a cistern.
