A double strand oligonucleotide structure comprising the structure of Formula 1:
- wherein:
- R is a double strand oligonucleotide comprising a sense strand and an antisense strand comprising a sequence complementary thereto;
- X and Y are independently a covalent bond or linker;
- A is a hydrophilic moiety;
- and
- B is a hydrophobic moiety;
- wherein a ligand molecule for a glucose transporter (GLUT) or a functional analog of the ligand is covalently linked to a terminus of A and/or B via a second linker.
