Abstract
The present disclosure provides a biodelivery platform for the oral administration of molecular cargo.
Claims30
A recombinant host cell oral biodelivery platform for delivery of a molecular cargo to a subject, comprising:
- a fusion protein engineered to deliver the molecular cargo via transduction across the intestinal epithelium, said fusion protein comprising:
- a) a molecular cargo domain comprising the molecular cargo;
- b) a solubility-enhancing domain;
- c) a first transduction domain that binds to a cell surface receptor on an intestinal epithelial cell;
- and
- d) a second transduction domain comprising a cell penetrating peptide (CPP), wherein the fusion protein is encapsulated within the recombinant host cell.
