Abstract
A compound useful for preventing or treating dry eye and a medicament for preventing and/or treating dry eye comprising the same which does not substantially impact on the intraocular pressure are provided. A method of preventing and/or treating dry eye in a subject in need thereof, comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of olodaterol or a salt thereof to the subject is also provided.

A method of preventing and/or treating dry eye in a subject in need thereof, comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of olodaterol or a salt thereof to the subject.
A method of stabilizing tear film in a subject in need thereof, comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of olodaterol or a salt thereof to the subject.
A method of enhancing lacrimal secretion and/or increasing tear volumes in a subject in need thereof, comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of olodaterol or a salt thereof to the subject.
A method of preventing and/or treating dry eye in a subject in need thereof, comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of olodaterol or a salt thereof to the subject,
- wherein the olodaterol or a salt thereof is administered in a concentration of 0.00001 to 0.01% (w/v),
- wherein the olodaterol or a salt thereof stabilizes tear film and/or enhances lacrimal secretion and/or increases tear volumes, and
- wherein administering the olodaterol or a salt thereof does not substantially increase and/or reduce intraocular pressure.
