A method of assessing the scalp malodour counteraction capability of a test fragrance composition, the method comprising the steps of:
- a. Applying a product composition comprising the test fragrance composition onto a clean fabric;
- b. Removing the product composition by rinsing the fabric with water;
- c. Letting the fabric dry in air;
- d. Placing the fabric into a confined space, in the presence of a scalp malodour;
- e. Closing the confined space;
- f. Opening the confined space after equilibration and assessing both malodour intensity and fragrance intensity in this confined space;
- wherein a scalp malodour counteraction capability is confirmed if the fragrance intensity is stronger than the malodour intensity.
