Modular Skin Treatment Device with Dermabrasion and Ultrasound Capabilities

A method of performing a modular skin treatment comprising:

• providing a console comprising a fluid source and a vacuum source;
• coupling the console with a dermabrasion handpiece (i) comprising a fluid conduit and a waste conduit and (ii) configured to deliver a treatment fluid from the fluid source to a skin surface via the fluid conduit and remove debris from the skin surface to the vacuum source via the waste conduit;
• and
• coupling the console with an ultrasound handpiece (i) comprising one or more transducers and (ii) configured to deliver ultrasound energy to the skin surface using the one or more transducers.

A modular skin treatment system comprising:

• a console comprising a fluid source and a vacuum source;
• a dermabrasion handpiece (i) comprising a fluid conduit and a waste conduit and (ii) configured to deliver a treatment fluid from the fluid source to a skin surface via the fluid conduit and remove debris from the skin surface to the vacuum source via the waste conduit;
• and
• an ultrasound handpiece (i) comprising one or more transducers and (ii) configured to deliver ultrasound energy to the skin surface using the one or more transducers.
