Method and device for pressure therapy

A device for pressure therapy, the device comprising:

• a main unit comprising:
• a pressure generator configured to generate:
• a positive pressure higher than atmospheric pressure in a range of 0.1 kPa to 100 kPa, and
• a negative pressure lower than atmospheric pressure in a range of 0.1 kPa to 100 kPa;
• and
• a control unit configured to control the pressure generator;
• and
• a therapy unit connected to the pressure generator, the therapy unit comprising:
• a rigid therapy chamber configured to receive a body part and configured to withstand the positive pressure and the negative pressure, wherein the therapy chamber is adapted so that the body part is insertable into the therapy chamber;
• and
• a sealing unit comprising a moldable membrane and a plurality of between 4 and 50 actuators, the actuators being configured to move the moldable membrane,
• wherein the moldable membrane is configured to seal the body part in the therapy chamber during the pressure therapy;
• wherein the control unit is configured to control the pressure generator in order to provide the negative pressure and the positive pressure to the therapy unit during the pressure therapy and to control the actuators in order to adjust an aperture formed by the moldable membrane.

A device for pressure therapy, the device comprising:

• a main unit comprising:
• a pressure generator configured to generate non-atmospheric pressure including a positive pressure higher than atmospheric pressure or a negative pressure lower than atmospheric pressure;
• and
• a control unit configured to control the pressure generator;
• a therapy unit connected to the pressure generator via a fluid conduit, the therapy unit comprising:
• a therapy chamber configured to receive a body part, wherein the therapy chamber is adapted so that the body part is insertable into the therapy chamber;
• and
• a sealing unit configured to seal the body part in the therapy chamber during the pressure therapy, the sealing unit comprising:
• a moldable membrane comprising at least one of:
• polymer material, silicone, latex, natural latex, organic latex, synthetic latex, blended latex, neoprene, rubber, or polyurethane;
• and
• a plurality of actuators configured to move the moldable membrane;
• and
• a user interface configured to provide a setup of the therapy or one or more therapy protocols to a user of the device,
• wherein the control unit is configured to control the pressure generator in order to provide the negative pressure or the positive pressure to the therapy unit during the pressure therapy according to the setup or the one or more therapy protocols and to control the plurality of actuators.

A device for pressure therapy, the device comprising:

• a pressure generator configured to generate positive or negative pressure;
• a therapy unit connected to the pressure generator, the therapy unit comprising:
• a therapy chamber configured to receive a body part, wherein the therapy chamber is adapted so that the body part is insertable into the therapy chamber;
• and
• a sealing unit configured to seal the body part in the therapy chamber during the pressure therapy,
• wherein the sealing unit comprises a moldable membrane, an actuator, and an aperture;
• and
• a control unit configured to control the pressure generator in order to provide the negative pressure or the positive pressure to the therapy unit during the pressure therapy, and to control the actuator.
