Abstract
A medical device includes a polymer scaffold crimped to a catheter having an expansion balloon. The scaffold, after being deployed by the balloon, provides a crush recovery of about 90% after the diameter of the scaffold has been pinched or crushed by 50%. The scaffold has a pattern including an asymmetric closed cell connecting links connecting the closed cells.

-22. (canceled)
A medical device, comprising:
- a stent formed from a material comprising a polymer and configured to be crimped to a balloon, wherein the stent has a pattern of interconnected elements including a plurality of undulating rings and a plurality of links connecting the plurality of undulating rings, each undulating ring including struts joined at crowns, wherein one or more of the plurality of links is joined to a respective ring at a W crown and to a respective adjacent ring at a Y crown to form W-V shaped closed cells, and wherein the W-V shaped closed cells have crown angles less than 115 degrees.
A medical device system, comprising:
- a balloon catheter having a balloon;
- and
- a stent crimped on the balloon, wherein the stent is formed from a material comprising a polymer, wherein the stent has a pattern of interconnected elements including a plurality of undulating rings and a plurality of links connecting the plurality of undulating rings, each undulating ring including struts joined at crowns, wherein one or more of the plurality of links is joined to a respective ring at a W crown and to a respective adjacent ring at a Y crown to form W-V shaped closed cells, and wherein the W-V shaped closed cells have crown angles less than 115 degrees.
A method, comprising:
- forming a stent from a material comprising a polymer, wherein the stent has a pattern of interconnected elements including a plurality of undulating rings and a plurality of links connecting the plurality of undulating rings, each undulating ring including struts joined at crowns, wherein one or more of the plurality of links is joined to a respective ring at a W crown and to a respective adjacent ring at a Y crown to form W-V shaped closed cells, and wherein the W-V shaped closed cells have crown angles less than 115 degrees;
- and
- crimping the stent on a balloon of a balloon catheter.
