Abstract
Robotic surgical systems and methods for using both laparoscopic and trans-cervical tools and imaging devices to resect fibroids or other abnormal uterine tissue.
Claims20
A medical system for use in treating a uterine disorder in a uterus, comprising:
- a first arm having a plurality of moveable arm segments adapted for trans-cervical introduction of a least one functional device into a uterine cavity;
- a second arm having a plurality of moveable arm segments adapted for laparoscopic introduction of at least one functional device for positioning at an exterior of the uterus;
- and
- a controller;
- wherein each of the first arm and the second arm are configured to send position signals to the controller such that the controller can map a position of the first arm and the second arm relative to one another.
