Abstract
Disclosed is a method for quantifying breast density or glandular tissue components using an ultrasound image, which is performed by a computing device. The method may include: acquiring an ultrasound image; identifying a breast region in the ultrasound image; identifying a fibrous glandular tissue region in the ultrasound image; and quantifying a density of a breast by analyzing the identified breast region and fibrous glandular tissue region.
Claims28
A method for quantifying breast density or glandular tissue components using an ultrasound image performed by a computing device, the method comprising:
- acquiring an ultrasound image;
- identifying a breast region in the ultrasound image;
- identifying a fibrous glandular tissue region in the ultrasound image;
- and
- quantifying a density of a breast by analyzing the identified breast region and fibrous glandular tissue region.
A computer program stored in a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium, wherein when the computer program is executed by one or more processors, the computer program allows the one or more processors to perform following operations for quantifying breast density and glandular tissue components using an ultrasound image, the operations comprising:
- an operation of acquiring an ultrasound image;
- an operation of identifying a breast region in the ultrasound image;
- an operation of identifying a fibrous glandular tissue region in the ultrasound image;
- and
- an operation of quantifying a density of a breast by analyzing the identified breast region and fibrous glandular tissue region.

A computing device comprising:
- at least one processor;
- and
- a memory,
- wherein the at least one processor is configured to:
- acquire an ultrasound image,
- identify a breast region in the ultrasound image,
- identify a fibrous glandular tissue region in the ultrasound image, and
- quantify a density of a breast by analyzing the identified breast region and fibrous glandular tissue region.
