Fertility prediction from wearable-based physiological data

A system comprising:

• one or more memories configured to store executable instructions;
• and
• one or more processors communicatively coupled with the one or more memories and configured, individually or in combination, to execute the executable instructions to:
• acquire physiological data associated with a user via one or more
• sensors of a wearable ring device configured to be worn on a finger of the user, wherein the physiological data comprises at least temperature data and heart rate variability (HRV) data, wherein the one or more sensors include at least one optical transmitter and at least one optical receiver, and wherein the acquiring comprises:
• continuously sampling the temperature data throughout a plurality of menstrual cycles of the user;
• determining a pulse waveform of the user throughout the plurality of menstrual cycles by sampling PPG signals generated by the at least one optical receiver, each PPG signal indicative of an amount of light received by the at least one optical receiver and transmitted from the at least one optical transmitter to illuminate a region of the finger of the user;
• and
• determining the HRV data based on the pulse waveform of the user;
• determine a time series of a plurality of temperature values over a plurality of days based at least in part on the temperature data, wherein the time series comprises a plurality of menstrual cycles of the user;
• determine a plurality of menstrual cycle length parameters associated with the plurality of menstrual cycles based at least in part on the time series;
• predict a fertility of the user based at least in part on the plurality of menstrual cycle length parameters;
• determine the predicted fertility of the user is valid based at least in part on the HRV data;
• and
• in response to determining the predicted fertility of the user is valid, generate a signal to cause a graphical user interface on a user device to display a message that indicates the predicted fertility of the user.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium having instructions, the instructions are executable by one or more processors, individually or in combination, to:

• acquire physiological data associated with a user via one or more sensors of a wearable ring device configured to be worn on a finger of the user, wherein the physiological data comprises at least temperature data and heart rate variability (HRV) data, wherein the one or more sensors include at least one optical transmitter and at least one optical receiver, and wherein the acquiring comprises:
• continuously sampling the temperature data throughout a plurality of menstrual cycles of the user;
• determining a pulse waveform of the user throughout the plurality of menstrual cycles by sampling PPG signals generated by the at least one optical receiver, each PPG signal indicative of an amount of light received by the at least one optical receiver and transmitted from the at least one optical transmitter to illuminate a region of the finger of the user;
• and
• determining the HRV data based on the pulse waveform of the user;
• determine a time series of a plurality of temperature values over a plurality of days based at least in part on the temperature data, wherein the time series comprises a plurality of menstrual cycles of the user;
• determine a plurality of menstrual cycle length parameters associated with the plurality of menstrual cycles based at least in part on the time series;
• predict a fertility of the user based at least in part on the plurality of menstrual cycle length parameters;
• determine the predicted fertility of the user is valid based at least in part on the HRV data;
• and
• in response to determining the predicted fertility of the user is valid, generate a signal to cause a graphical user interface on a user device to display a message that indicates the predicted fertility of the user.
