Method and apparatus for performing orthostatic test sequence

An apparatus for performing an orthostatic test sequence associated with a user, the apparatus comprising:

• a processor;
• a memory coupled with the processor;
• and
• instructions stored in the memory and executable by the processor to cause the apparatus to:
• receive photoplethysmography data associated with the user from at least one wearable device;
• receive motion data associated with the user from the at least one wearable device, wherein the motion data coincides with the photoplethysmography data;
• obtain user heart rate data based on the photoplethysmography data associated with the user;
• detect an ascending user position change based on the motion data associated with the user;
• identify a trigger condition for providing a physiological state-related insight associated with the user based on the user heat rate data and the detected ascending user position change;
• and
• cause a user device to provide an indication of the physiological state-related insight associated with the user.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing code, the code comprising instructions executable by a processor to:

• receive photoplethysmography data associated with the user from at least one wearable device;
• receive motion data associated with the user from the at least one wearable device, wherein the motion data coincides with the photoplethysmography data;
• obtain user heart rate data based on the photoplethysmography data associated with the user;
• detect an ascending user position change based on the motion data associated with the user;
• identify a trigger condition for providing a physiological state-related insight associated with the user based on the user heat rate data and the detected ascending user position change;
• and
• cause a user device to provide an indication of the physiological state-related insight associated with the user.
