Abstract
A system for measuring target analytes in a wearer including a wearable biosensor device and biometric identity verification systems for recognition of the wearer's electrochemical signature, fingerprints, voice, gait, face, iris, retina and the like. A single biometric identity verification system may be used, or a multi-modal version.
Claims13
A system for verifying the identity of a wearer of a wearable biosensor device, the system comprising a wearable biosensor device comprising a microneedle array comprising a substrate integral with microneedles configured for placement within skin of the wearer, a biorecognition element on a portion of the microneedles configured to react with at least one target analyte in the skin, and electrical connections between the biorecognition element and an electronics unit for data processing, and the system further comprises at least one biometric ID subsystem configured to establish an initial biometric signature of the wearer, to store the initial biometric signature in a database, and to generate a comparison of the initial biometric signature to at least one later biometric signature.
