Abstract
A cleaning apparatus is provided. The cleaning apparatus includes a robot cleaner configured to move along a floor surface to perform cleaning, the robot cleaner including a cleaner body, a pair of wheels disposed on a lower surface of the cleaner body for driving, and a guide wheel configured such that a diameter of a central portion thereof is less than a diameter of longitudinal edges thereof, and a docking station including a base portion and a guide rail formed on an upper surface of the base portion, the guide rail being configured to guide the movement of the guide wheel.
Claims20
A cleaning apparatus, comprising:
- a robot cleaner configured to move along a floor surface to perform cleaning, the robot cleaner comprising a cleaner body, a pair of wheels disposed on a lower surface of the cleaner body for driving, and a guide wheel configured such that a diameter of a central portion thereof is less than a diameter of longitudinal edges thereof;
- and
- a docking station comprising a base portion and a guide rail formed on an upper surface of the base portion, the guide rail being configured to guide movement of the guide wheel.
A docking station configured to dock a robot cleaner, the docking station comprising:
- a base portion;
- and
- a guide rail formed on an upper side of the base portion, the guide rail being configured to allow the robot cleaner to be aligned and docked at a correct position,
- wherein the guide rail comprises:
- a first portion comprising a first slope,
- a second portion extending from the first portion, the second portion comprising a second slope less than the first slope, and
- a third portion extending from the second portion, the third portion comprising a downward slope.
