Abstract
Exemplary soap and sanitize dispensers are disclosed herein. An exemplary soap or sanitizing dispenser includes a housing, a permanent reservoir located within the housing, a pump in fluid communication with the permanent reservoir and a refill port. The refill port is configured to connect to a refill container. A refilling vent conduit extends upward from the permanent reservoir. The refill vent conduit extends above a maximum fill line of the refill unit and a vent valve is located proximate an upper end of the refill vent conduit.
Claims20
A soap or sanitizing dispenser comprising:
- a housing;
- a permanent reservoir located within the housing for holding a fluid;
- a pump in fluid communication with the permanent reservoir;
- a refill port;
- wherein the refill port is configured to connect to a refill container;
- wherein fluid from the refill container flows into the permanent reservoir when the refill container is connected to the refill port;
- wherein the refill container has a max fill level;
- a liquid feed conduit extending from the permanent reservoir to the pump;
- a priming vent located proximate the pump;
- wherein the priming vent is in fluid communication liquid feed conduit;
- wherein an upper end of the priming vent is located above the max fill level of the refill container;
- and
- a fluid outlet nozzle.
A soap or sanitizing dispenser comprising:
- a housing;
- a permanent reservoir located within the housing;
- a pump in fluid communication with the permanent reservoir;
- a refill port;
- a refill container;
- the refill container having a closure secured thereto;
- an elastomeric valve secured to the closure;
- the elastomeric valve configured to open when secured to the refill port and to be closed when removed from the refill port;
- a liquid feed conduit in fluid communication with the permanent reservoir and the pump;
- a priming vent extending upward;
- the priming vent located proximate the pump;
- wherein the priming vent conduit extends above a maximum fill line of the refill container.
A soap or sanitizing dispenser comprising:
- a housing;
- a permanent reservoir located within the housing;
- a reservoir vent;
- a pump in fluid communication with the permanent reservoir;
- a refill port;
- a refill container;
- the refill container having a closure secured thereto;
- an elastomeric valve secured to the closure;
- the elastomeric valve configured to open when secured to the refill port and to be closed when removed from the refill port;
- a liquid feed conduit in fluid communication with the permanent reservoir and the pump;
- a priming vent extending upward;
- the priming vent located proximate the pump;
- wherein the priming vent conduit extends above a maximum fill line of the refill container;
- and
- an outlet nozzle.
