Abstract

Described are blending containers having a reduced open end, e.g., blending containers comprising a rim with a geometry that prevents access by items having a certain diameter or width, while still allowing one or more of portability, cleanability, pourability of blended foodstuff, and the like. The blending containers may be used in a blending system. The blending system may include frothers, foamers, aerators, and the like. The blending system may include a container selectively attachable to a motor base and including a frothing device. The blending system may include firmware logic and sensors to sense ingredients. The blending system may sense ingredients as they are added to the container, and may prevent blending until all ingredients or the certain quantity of ingredients have been added to the container. The blending system may provide more consistent and duplicable blends and may minimize user judgment or error.

A blending container, comprising:

a body, comprising:
a first end defining an opening;
a second end positioned opposite the first end;
and
a sidewall extending between the first end and the second end, wherein the sidewall comprises:
a first indent extending toward a center of the blending container at the first end, the first indent having a first indent radius that is defined between the first indent and the center of the blending container;
and
a first channel positioned adjacent the first indent at the first end, the first channel having a first channel radius that is defined between the first channel and the center of the blending container,
wherein the first channel radius is greater than the first indent radius.
