Abstract
A security case to protect theft prone products in a retail establishment is provided. The security case can include at least one of an adjustable depth system of telescoping panels to accommodate different depth shelves, a moveable reinforced transparent closure and/or a toe kick levelling system securable to a base of a sales rack or gondola to enable the security case and its components to level to a horizontal plane. These systems and others can be singular or combined with one another in any manner and number.
Claims20
A security case comprising:
- a first side panel and an opposing second side panel bounding at least a portion of an internal compartment;
- a door track forward of the internal compartment and spanning between the first side panel and the second side panel;
- a toe kick unit disposed below the door track, the toe kick unit including a toe kick panel having a lower edge;
- a first adjustment support joined with the toe kick unit and including a first threaded shaft joined with a first foot;
- a second adjustment support joined with the toe kick unit distal from the first adjustment support and including a second threaded shaft joined with a second foot;
- and
- a toe kick bracket configured to join the toe kick unit with a base of a gondola, the toe kick bracket including a first leg defining a first leg adjustment element and a second leg transverse to the first leg defining a second leg adjustment element,
- wherein a first fastener disposed in the first leg adjustment element is configured to provide horizontal adjustment of the toe kick unit relative to the base of the gondola,
- wherein a second fastener disposed in the second leg adjustment element is configured to provide vertical adjustment of the toe kick unit relative to the base of the gondola, and
- wherein the first and second threaded shafts are selectively adjustable relative to the respective first and second adjustment supports to level the lower edge of the toe kick panel relative to a reference plane.
A security case comprising:
- a door track configured to support at least one movable closure;
- a toe kick panel disposed below the door track and including an upper edge and a lower edge;
- a support element joined with the toe kick panel and supporting the door track;
- and
- a plurality of adjustment supports joined with the support element, each adjustment support including a threaded aperture and a threaded shaft received in the threaded aperture, each threaded shaft being joined with a respective foot,
- wherein each threaded shaft is independently adjustable to change respective distances between the support element and the respective feet so as to level the toe kick panel and the door track relative to a horizontal reference plane.
A security case configured to mount adjacent a gondola, the security case comprising:
- a door track configured to support a movable closure;
- a toe kick panel including a lower edge;
- a support element joined with the toe kick panel and configured to support the door track;
- a first adjustment support joined with the support element,
- a second adjustment support joined with the support element distal from the first adjustment support;
- and
- a bracket configured to join the support element with a base of the gondola, the bracket including a first leg having a first adjustment element and a second leg having a second adjustment element,
- wherein the first adjustment element is configured to permit inward and outward adjustment of the toe kick panel relative to the base of the gondola,
- wherein the second adjustment element is configured to permit up and down adjustment of the toe kick panel relative to the base of the gondola.
