Rubber composite cleaning head climbing brush

Abstract

Systems, methods, and devices include a climbing brush with a rubber composite cleaning head to clean climbing holds. The climbing brush includes a gripping portion and head portion defining a receiving area. The receiving area accommodates a rubber composite block forming a cleaning surface. The rubber composite block is formed of pale crepe rubber (PCR) or sheet rubber (ribbed smoked sheet No. 1/2) and includes a coarse textured surface. Additionally, the head portion includes a protruding lip defining a receiving area to secure the rubber composite block in place. The gripping portion also includes one or more finger grip recesses and a connection hole disposed therethrough. Furthermore, the climbing brush can be configured with a non-linear angle and a tapered head profile to facilitate cleaning holds in tight spaces and at challenging angles. Methods of manufacturing the brush and the rubber composite block are also disclosed.
