Abstract
A backpack with a jacket integrated into the back is called a Jackpack. It can be used by schoolchildren, who can unfold the waterproof jacket by unzipping the back of the backpack when it rains on their way to or from school. It complements the standard backpack. In a similar way when an adult is hiking or fishing and it starts to rain, they can remove the jacket from their rucksack and then zip it up. It is beneficial in any bad weather conditions.

A jackpack system comprising:
- a jackpack assembly including
- a lifting handle,
- at least one shoulder strap,
- a backpack body with an inner volume, and
- a waterproof jacket unfolded for use by unzipping a back of the backpack body via a fastener allowing said waterproof jacket to unfold;
- and a hood configured to keep a head of a user-wearer warm and dry from environmental elements when worn.

A jackpack system comprising:
- a jackpack assembly including
- a lifting handle providing a grip point that allows a user-wearer to lift and carry said jackpack assembly,
- shoulder straps, two of said shoulder straps that go over shoulders of said user-wearer when wearing said jackpack assembly,
- a strap belt to help in adjusting said shoulder straps,
- a backpack body,
- at least one inner pocket and at least one outer pocket able to be used to hold items;
- and
- a waterproof jacket unfolded for use by unzipping a back of the backpack body via a zipping fastener allowing said waterproof jacket to unfold;
