Transport device (1), in particular, a backpack, comprising at least

• a back section (3) that is at least partially concave in shape,
• a carrying system (7) arranged on a first side of the back section (3), which has at least one carrying strap;
• a bag (4) arranged on a second side of the back section (3) opposite the first side, which is formed by a first side section (4.1), a second side section opposite the first side section, a front section (4.3) opposite the back section (3) and spaced apart from the side sections (4.1, 4.2) by the side sections (4.1, 4.2), a lid section (4.4) and a bottom section (4.5), wherein the bag (4) together with the back section (3) defines a storage space (9);
• and
• at least one receptacle (5) extending substantially in one plane for receiving at least one substantially linear or flat transport object (8), wherein the receptacle is arranged inside the bag (4);
• characterized in that
• the receptacle (5) is arranged with its upper (5.1) or lower (5.2) region on the back section (3) or in its immediate vicinity, and
• the receptacle (5) with its upper (5.1) or lower (5.2) area of the back section (3) in the direction of the front section (4.3), whereby an at least partially wedge-shaped first accumulation area (9.1) is formed between the back section and the receptacle (5).
