Abstract
A compression sleeve system that allows athletic wear to achieve certain perspiration management and comfort requirements, while simultaneously achieving maximum possible sweat control utilizing detachable dual moisture-wicking and absorbent sweat strips to improve moisture absorption and evaporation performance with compression therapy and moisture management protocols in sports and exercise environments.
Claims36
An article for managing perspiration and providing compression therapy during physical activity, comprising:
- a compression sleeve having a proximal end with an opening for receiving a limb and a distal end with an opening for receiving a hand;
- least one detachable sweat-management strip secured to an exterior surface of the compression sleeve, the at least one sweat-management strip comprising at least one of a moisture-wicking material and an absorbent material, wherein the at least one sweat-management strip is configured to be removably attached at one or more locations along the compression sleeve to facilitate removal, replacement, or repositioning of the sweat-management strip during use;
- wherein the compression sleeve and the at least one sweat-management strip are adapted to collectively provide both compression and enhanced perspiration management for a user during physical activity.
