Abstract
A riding garment having an outer portion of a high density fabric weighing no less that 3 pounds per square yard and including no more than 2 percent elastomer that may include an inner support portion configured of a low density fabric weighing no more than no more than 3 ounces per square yard attached to a waistband fabric to reduce the coefficient of friction lessening clinging or folding of the open torso portion when worn. A feature of the riding garment includes one or more outer pockets disposed downwardly from a first opening in the outer layer and at least one cell phone pocket disposed underneath at least a portion of the periphery of the outer pocket to obscure and enhance security of a stowed cell phone.
Claims20
A riding garment, comprising:
- an outer portion composed of a heavy density fabric having an open torso portion, wherein the open torso portion includes a front side and a rear side configured to cover at least a portion of a wearer's torso, wherein the heavy density fabric weighs no less than 3 ounces per square yard and includes no more than 2 percent of elastomer;
- an inner support portion composed of a light density fabric, wherein the inner support portion is adjoined by an upper seam to an upper edge of the outer portion, wherein the light density fabric weighs no more than no more than 3 ounces per square yard so as to yield a low coefficient of friction between abutting surfaces of the heavy density fabric and the light density fabric to thereby reduce clinging or folding of the front side of the open torso portion when worn, wherein the inner support portion has opposed side edges affixed to the pair of opposed outer side seams so as to maintain the inner support portion in abutted correspondence with a coextensive area of the outer portion when worn;
- and
- at least one outer pocket affixed to the outer portion and downwardly disposed from a first opening;
- and
- a cell phone pocket downwardly disposed from a second opening, wherein the cell phone pocket is configured such that at least a portion of a cell phone is disposed underneath a coextensive area of the outer portion and within a periphery of the at least one outer pocket when stowed within the cell phone pocket.
A riding garment having an outer portion, comprising:
- an open torso portion configured to cover at least a portion of a wearer's lower torso;
- at least one outer pocket affixed to the outer portion, wherein the at least one outer pocket is downwardly disposed from the first opening;
- and
- a cell phone pocket downwardly disposed from a second opening, wherein the cell phone pocket is configured such that at least a portion of a cell phone is disposed underneath a coextensive area of the outer portion and within a periphery of the outer pocket when stowed in the cell phone pocket.
Riding jeans, comprising:
- an outer portion including a waistband and an open torso portion configured to cover at least a portion of a wearer's lower torso bifurcating downwardly at a crotch region, wherein the open torso portion has a front side and a rear side adjoined by a pair of opposed outer side seams, wherein the open torso portion bifurcates at a crotch region into a pair of opposed inner seams configuring a pair of integral leg members, the front side of the open torso portion having a fastenable opening vertically disposed at a midline extended from the waistband downwardly toward the crotch region, and wherein the rear side of the open torso portion includes a rear panel having an upper portion adjoined to a lower portion of the waistband and a pair of opposed sides adjoined to the pair of opposed side seams, and wherein a lower portion of the rear panel is adjoined in a panel seam along an upper edge of the rear side of the open torso portion such that the panel seam is disposed across the rear side and adjoined to the opposed side seams;
- a pair of rear outer pockets equidistantly disposed on opposed sides of the midline of the rear side extending downwardly from a respective pair of first openings;
- and
- a cell phone pocket having a second opening coextensively aligned along a portion of the bottom seam of the rear side panel, wherein the cell phone pocket extends downwardly from the second opening such that at least a portion of the cell phone pocket is disposed underneath the outer portion of the rear side and configured so as to obscure at least a portion of a cell phone behind a periphery of at least one of the pair of rear outer pockets when stowed in the cell phone pocket.
