Abstract
A cooked, solid, food product is provided, which comprises at least 10 wt % of protein and at least 20 wt % of water. The food product may contain further ingredients selected from soluble fibre, monosaccharide and/or or disaccharide, and sugar alcohol. The food product contains not more than 300 kcal per 100 g. The food product may be formed into food bars for individual consumption by consumers wanting a high protein intake, with low calories. The bars are optionally enrobed, for example by a cocoa-containing coating. Enrobing increases the calorie count but the bars are still high in protein and low in calories compared with available protein bars.

A cooked, solid, food product which contains:
- a) at least 10 wt % of protein and
- b) at least 20 wt % of water,
- and
- c) which has an energy content of not more than 300 kcal per 100 g of the cooked, solid, food product.
