Abstract
Present invention relates to new strains of Bacillus paralicheniformis with improved ability to form biofilm and colonize the rhizosphere when compared to their parental strains from where they are derived.

A method comprising applying a Bacillus to one or more of a plant propagation material, a plant and a plant growth medium, said Bacillus having a loss-of-function mutation in its closest ortholog of the pdeH gene found in Bacillus paralicheniformis DSM 33110.
