System and method for shellfish aquafarming

A container tumbling device for use in aquafarming, comprising:

• a housing having brackets;
• and
• an engaging mechanism secured to the brackets of the housing, wherein the engaging mechanism is configured to actuate at least one shellfish container as the at least one shellfish container passes through and below the container tumbling device,
• wherein the bracket is operable to secure the container tumbling device to a vessel.

A method for tumbling a plurality of shellfish containers, the steps comprising:

• arranging the plurality of shellfish containers along a pair of lines;
• and
• running the plurality of shellfish containers through and below a container tumbling device including:
• a housing having brackets;
• and
• an engaging mechanism secured to the brackets of the housing,
• wherein the plurality of shellfish containers cooperates with the pair of lines to be guided relative to the container tumbling device, and
• wherein the engaging mechanism rotates the plurality of shellfish containers as the plurality of shellfish containers travels under and through the container tumbling device.
