Frame module for a semiconductor integrated circuit, ic, as well as a power module comprising such a frame module and a method of manufacturing such a frame module

A frame module for a semiconductor integrated circuit (IC), the frame module comprising:

• a substrate comprising the IC;
• a frame arranged to circumferentially enclose the IC;
• a Direct Current (DC) supply terminal arranged to provide DC power to the substrate, a DC return terminal arranged to provide a return line for the provided DC power and an Alternating Current (AC) terminal arranged to provide AC connections to the substrate;
• wherein the DC supply terminal is arranged to connect to the substrate at a first end thereof;
• wherein the DC return terminal is arranged to connect to the substrate at a second end thereof, the second end being opposite to the first end, and wherein the DC return terminal extends above the substrate in a direction towards the first end of the substrate;
• wherein the DC return terminal comprises at least one opening, located at a part of the DC return terminal that extends above the substrate;
• and
• wherein the AC terminal is arranged to connect to the substrate via the at least one opening provided in the DC return terminal.
