Abstract
A light-emitting element includes: an anode and a cathode; and a light-emitting layer located between the anode and the cathode, wherein the light-emitting layer includes a plurality of quantum dots including a first element that is a metal element, and a matrix material including the plurality of quantum dots and composed of two or more kinds of elements to include a second element that is located in a higher period than the first element and is not included in the plurality of quantum dots.
