Abstract
The present disclosure provides a communication method and apparatus, and a terminal device, including: in a case where the terminal device moves from a first network to a second network, not releasing, by the terminal device, a location context and skipping cancelling a location request, where through skipping cancelling the location request, the terminal device is caused to continue to monitor whether a request is triggered or a periodic event occurs, which enables the terminal device to report the location context in a case where it is monitored that the request is triggered or the periodic event occurs, thereby determining location information of the terminal device.

A communication method, applied to a terminal device and comprising:
- in a case where the terminal device moves from a first network to a second network, not releasing, by the terminal device, a location context.

- in a case where an event report of an interworking (IWK) network is received, sending a first request requiring to provide location information of a terminal device;

- receiving the location information for the first message.

- wherein the memory is configured to store a computer program;
- the transceiver is configured to send and receive data under a control of the processor;
- the processor is configured to read the computer program in the memory and perform the following operations:
- in a case where the terminal device moves from a first network to a second network, not releasing a location context.
