Abstract
A network selection method is performed by a terminal device, and includes: obtaining network information of at least one optional Standalone Non-Public Network (SNPN); and according to the network information of the optional SNPN and selection policy information, determining a target SNPN which is selected for registration.

A network selection method, performed by a terminal device, the method comprising:
- obtaining network information of at least one optional Standalone Non-Public Network (SNPN);
- and
- according to the network information of the optional SNPN and selection policy information, determining a target SNPN which is selected for registration;
- wherein the selection policy information comprises at least one of:
- a first list, wherein the first list comprises network identifiers of user controlled first candidate SNPNs, first priority information and first validity conditions corresponding to the network identifiers of the first candidate SNPNs;
- a second list, wherein the second list comprises network identifiers of credentials holder controlled second candidate SNPNs, second priority information and second validity conditions corresponding to the network identifiers of the second candidate SNPNs;
- or
- a third list, wherein the third list comprises credentials holder controlled candidate group identities for network selection (GINs), third priority information and third validity conditions corresponding to the candidate GINs.

- sending indication information to a terminal device, wherein the indication information indicates network information of at least one optional SNPN, and the indication information is used for the terminal device to obtain the network information of the at least one optional SNPN.

- obtain network information of at least one optional Standalone Non-Public Network (SNPN);

- wherein the selection policy information comprises at least one of:
- a first list, wherein the first list comprises network identifiers of user controlled first candidate SNPNs, first priority information and first validity conditions corresponding to the network identifiers of the first candidate SNPNs;
- a second list, wherein the second list comprises network identifiers of credentials holder controlled second candidate SNPNs, second priority information and second validity conditions corresponding to the network identifiers of the second candidate SNPNs;
- or
- a third list, wherein the third list comprises credentials holder controlled candidate group identities for network selection (GINs), third priority information and third validity conditions corresponding to the candidate GINs.
