Abstract
A system as discussed herein includes communication management hardware. The communication management hardware: receives a first data packet including a first data payload, the first data packet encoded in accordance with a wireless communication protocol for conveyance to a destination network address; maps a first quality of service associated with the first data packet to a first service flow amongst multiple service flows supported by a backhaul network; and forwards the first data packet over the first service flow of the backhaul network for delivery of the first data packet to the destination network address.
Claims21
A method comprising:
- receiving encapsulated communications over a first service flow of multiple service flows of a network, the encapsulated communications including original data packets, each of the original data packets assigned a different quality of service tag;
- extracting the original data packets from the encapsulated communications;
- and
- forwarding the original data packets over a network to at least one target destination as indicated by the original data packets.
A system comprising:
- communication management hardware including computer processor hardware operative to:
- receive encapsulated communications over a first service flow of multiple service flows of a network, the encapsulated communications including original data packets, each of the original data packets assigned a different quality of service tag;
- extract the original data packets from the encapsulated communications;
- and
- forward the original data packets over a network to at least one target destination as indicated by the original data packets.
Computer-readable storage hardware having instructions stored thereon, the instructions, when executed by computer processor hardware, cause the computer processor hardware to:
- receive encapsulated communications over a first service flow of multiple service flows of a network, the encapsulated communications including original data packets, each of the original data packets assigned a different quality of service tag;
- extract the original data packets from the encapsulated communications;
- and
- forward the original data packets over a network to at least one target destination as indicated by the original data packets.
