Information processing apparatus capable of using information on cut line which is printing item that cannot be set by printer driver and is printed on recording medium, printing setting application, control method for information processing apparatus, and storage medium

A control method for an information processing apparatus, the control method comprising:

• receiving an instruction to cause a printer to perform printing of a cut line on a sheet-like recording medium, the cut line indicating where the sheet-like recording medium is to be cut after printing;
• generating printing data based, at least in part, on intermediate data outputted from an operating system of the information processing apparatus so that the printing data include the cut line;
• and
• outputting the printing data to the operating system, the operating system transmitting the generated printing data to thereby cause the printer to perform the printing on the sheet-like recording medium based on the generated printing data.

An information processing apparatus, comprising:

• one or more memories;
• computer-executable instructions stored in the one or more memories;
• and
• a processor configured to cooperatively execute the computer-executable instructions to cause the information processing apparatus to:
• receive an instruction to cause a printer to perform printing of a cut line on a sheet-like recording medium, the cut line indicating where the sheet-like recording medium is to be cut after printing;
• generate printing data based, at least in part, on intermediate data outputted from an operating system of the information processing apparatus so that the printing data include the cut line;
• and
• output the printing data to the operating system, the operating system transmitting the generated printing data to thereby cause the printer to perform the printing on the sheet-like recording medium based on the generated printing data.
