Abstract
A computing system maintains continuity of a session across multiple operations. A session controller establishes a session identifier and associated signaling and/or security context, processes rule data, determines endpoint state, retrieves a data asset, routes and streams the data asset, modifies transmission state to receive response data, stores session data, and generates outputs. All operations occur within the established session context without creating a new session context, thereby preserving continuity across transport environments and data modalities, including in environments where processing characteristics may vary over time or exhibit non-deterministic execution behavior.
Claims18
A computing system for maintaining continuity of a session, the system comprising:
- at least one processor;
- memory storing instructions;
- and
- a session controller executable by the at least one processor and configured to:
- intercept and manage a session initiated over a network;
- establish, for the session, a session identifier and an associated session context
- comprising signaling context and/or security context;
- obtain rule data associated with an endpoint or entity associated with the session
- from a data store;
- determine a state associated with the endpoint or entity;
- process the rule data and the state to generate routing instructions;
- retrieve a selected data asset from the data store;
- route and stream the selected data asset within the established session context;
- modify transmission state within the established session context to receive
- response data;
- store the response data and associated session data in the data store;
- and
- generate an output based on the response data;
- wherein the routing, streaming, processing, transmission-state modification, and
- response-data storage operations are executed within the established session
- context;
- and
- wherein the session controller is configured to prevent creation of a new session context during execution of said operations.
A method for maintaining continuity of a session, the method comprising:
- intercepting a session initiated over a network;
- establishing a session identifier and an associated session context comprising
- signaling context and/or security context;
- obtaining rule data associated with an endpoint or entity associated with the
- session;
- determining a state associated with the endpoint or entity;
- generating routing instructions based on the rule data and the state;
- retrieving a selected data asset;
- routing and streaming the selected data asset within the established session
- context;
- modifying transmission state within the established session context to receive
- response data;
- storing the response data and associated session data;
- and
- generating an output based on the response data;
- wherein all operations are executed within the established session context;
- and
- wherein no new session context is created during execution of said operations.
