Abstract
Systems and methods for a bifurcated self-executing program that wraps a first self-executing program (e.g., a first smart contract) on a blockchain within a second self-executing program (e.g., a second smart contract), in which the second self-executing program enforces the digital signature requirement. The bifurcated self-executing program comprises a single compiled self-executing program that combines the first self-executing program and the second self-executing program.
Claims20
A system for conducting cryptographically secure actions in public, non-permissioned blockchains using a layer one blockchain solution featuring bifurcated self-executing programs that are compiled together and comprise shared digital signature requirements, the system comprising:
- a blockchain node comprising one or more processors;
- and
- a non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause operations comprising:
- receiving a request to perform a blockchain action at a composite self-executing program deployed on a public blockchain, wherein the composite self-executing program comprises a first self-executing program and a second self-executing program compiled into a single immutable deployment unit;
- processing the request with the first self-executing program to determine off-chain data required for the blockchain action;
- accessing the off-chain data from a data source external to the public blockchain;
- and
- processing the request with the second self-executing program using the off-chain data to execute the blockchain action.
A method for conducting cryptographically secure blockchain actions in public, non-permissioned blockchains using a layer one blockchain solution featuring bifurcated self-executing programs, the method comprising:
- processing a first request with a first self-executing program of a bifurcated self-executing program, wherein the bifurcated self-executing program comprises a combination of a plurality of individual self-executing programs that cannot be altered once the bifurcated self-executing program is deployed;
- determining, based on the first self-executing program, off-chain data required for processing the first request;
- accessing the off-chain data;
- and
- in response to accessing the off-chain data, processing the first request with a second self-executing program of the bifurcated self-executing program to perform a first blockchain action.
A non-transitory, computer-readable medium, comprising instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause operations comprising:
- processing a request for a blockchain action using a first component of a composite self-executing program to determine that off-chain data is required;
- accessing the off-chain data;
- and
- processing the request using a second component of the composite self-executing program and the off-chain data to execute the blockchain action, wherein the first component and the second component are compiled together into a single immutable program deployed on a public blockchain.
