Abstract

An object of the present invention is to achieve a motor control device being a technology that uses a motor as a heater while the motor is not in rotation, that is capable of distributing generation of heat through effective use of three-phase coils, that is, by changing the current application cycles to the respective phases on the basis of the temperature difference between the UVW phases, and that is capable of increasing the thermal energy usable for raising the temperature and of improving the torque stability at the time of switching from warm-up to drive. A motor control device 100 controls an alternating-current motor 16 driven by a power conversion unit 15 that performs power conversion from direct-current power to alternating-current power. The motor control device 100 includes phase output units 22, 26, 27, 28, and 29 that control the phase of current or the phase of voltage based on the position of a rotor of an alternating-current motor 16 while the alternating-current motor 16 is not in rotation, and a coil temperature acquisition unit 21 that acquires or estimates the temperature of the coils of respective phases of the alternating-current motor 16, and phase output units 22, 26, 27, 28, and 29 control the phase of the current or the phase of the voltage so as to increase the loss of a phase having the low temperature, among the temperatures of the coils of the respective phases.
