Linear transport system and method for operating a linear transport system

A linear transport system comprising:

• a movable unit,
• a stationary unit having a guide rail for guiding the movable unit,
• a linear motor for driving the movable unit along the guide rail, and
• a position-detecting system;
• wherein the linear motor comprises a stator and a rotor,
• wherein the stator is embodied at the stationary unit and comprises a plurality of motor modules arranged in a stationary manner along the guide rail and comprising drive coils and magnetic sensor elements, and
• wherein the rotor is arranged at the movable unit and comprises a plurality of magnet elements;
• wherein the position-detecting system comprises:
• at least a first radio transmitting/receiving element and a second radio transmitting/receiving element,
• wherein the first radio transmitting/receiving element is embodied at the rotor in a predefined first position,
• wherein the second radio transmitting/receiving element is embodied at the stator in a predefined second position, and
• wherein the first radio transmitting/receiving element and the second radio transmitting/receiving element are each configured to provide and/or read out identifying information;
• wherein the identifying information is provided by the first radio transmitting/receiving element or the second radio transmitting/receiving element by reading out the respective other radio transmitting/receiving element,
• wherein first position information regarding a position of the rotor relative to the stator is determinable, and
• wherein, taking the first position information into account, a position range regarding the positioning of the rotor relative to the stator is determinable.
