Connector, connector assembly, and method for manufacturing connector

A connector comprising:

• a housing;
• and
• a plurality of terminals held by the housing,
• wherein the plurality of terminals are arranged in a terminal arrangement direction intersecting a connection direction with a mating connector, each of the plurality of terminals has one end, has another end on a side opposite to the one end in the connection direction, and has an extension portion extending in the connection direction between the one end and the other end,
• the extension portion has a first surface extending in the terminal arrangement direction and the connection direction and facing outward, and a second surface facing the first surface,
• at least a part of the first surface is exposed to the outside of the housing in a first predetermined range in the connection direction, at least a part of the extension portion other than the exposed first surface is mounted to the housing by insert molding,
• the housing has a plurality of through holes or a plurality of recesses, and
• the plurality of through holes or the plurality of recesses are provided between the extension portions adjacent to each other in the terminal arrangement direction in a second predetermined range included in the first predetermined range, and extend into the inside of the housing.
